HARTEK Foundation, the CSR arm of HARTEK Group, conducted an Inter-school painting competition on the occasion of the 78th Indian Independence Day celebrations. The competition, themed “Independence from Drug Addiction,” took place on August 13, 2024, at the Government Sr. Secondary School, Village Bakarpur, in Mohali district of Punjab.
Over 100 higher secondary students participated, with great zeal and enthusiasm while the Hartek Foundation provided necessary materials such as drawing sheets and colours. A panel of judges, comprising teachers and Hartek Foundation members, evaluated the participants based on creativity, relevance, and overall impact.
Commenting on the activity, Ms. Keerti Hartek Singh, Chairperson of Hartek Foundation, stated, “In the spirit of India's 78th Independence Day, it is essential to understand that true freedom extends beyond theory; it is the practical actions that liberate us from the social constraints that hold us back. Through this activity, we aim to instill awareness and resilience in students, empowering them to lead the charge toward a drug-free society.”
The winning entries were facilitated at the event by the foundation. The competition aimed not only to help students improve their artistic skills but also to raise awareness of the importance of a drug-free life. By involving young children in this activity, the foundation strives to create young advocates for a healthier, safer, and more prosperous life.
