Enphase Energy, Inc., a global energy technology company and the world's leading supplier of microinverter-based solar and battery systems, showcased its latest solar and battery solutions, the IQ Battery 5P and microinverters IQ7A & IQ8H, at the Renewable Energy India Expo 2022. Sunil Thamaran, MD of Enphase Solar Energy Private Limited (India) was present at the event along with other senior
leaders to engage with the customers and partners through on-the-ground product demos and displays.India is still at a nascent stage when it comes to the adoption of solar. But with increasing awareness and efforts from the government to promote solar, there has been a gradual rise in adoption over the last few years. Technological advancements have played a huge role in driving the growth of rooftop solar in India and through events such as the REI Expo, companies like Enphase are able to showcase its innovative solutions and get a pulse of the solar industry.
Sunil Thamaran, Vice president and MD of Enphase Energy India said, “We are excited to participate in the Renewable Energy India Expo to showcase our state-of-the-art solar solutions and engage with partners and customers. For the first time in India we are unveiling the Enphase battery, and introducing the latest microinverters – IQ8H AND IQ8P. We plan to move towards providing a complete home energy solution to Indian homeowners and will soon introduce grid agnostic microinverters and storage solutions in India.”
Enphase started its India journey in 2017 and now has over 350 installer partners selling and installing its products. Over the last 5 years, thousands of PV systems with Enphase’s technology have been installed across the country. In August 2022, the company reached a milestone of shipping 5 million microinverters to global markets from its Chennai-based manufacturing facility, which is in partnership with Salcomp. Enphase products power one of India’s largest integrated solar roofs for Pangaea Natural Stone in Rajasthan and the company has been working with the Bangalore Apartment Federation to accelerate the adoption of Solar. Globally Enphase has shipped more than 48 million microinverters, and over 2.5 million Enphase-based systems have been deployed in more than 140 countries.
