Lifeline Laboratory was established in March 1991 as the culmination of a dream of two young and dedicated lady doctors, Dr Angeli Misra and Dr Asha Bhatnagar, who envisioned a Centre of Excellence in diagnostic pathology and bring about the highest quality of testing to the doorstep of every household.
To say that it was difficult for 2 young ladies to get across in a man’s world is putting it mildly, but they forged ahead with grit and determination to overcome all obstacles. Undaunted by their personal adversities, financial constraints, family responsibilities and motherhood, they juggled all the odds against them to take the first step towards their dream.
Having sold all their jewelry to raise finances to meet their project cost and buy the necessary equipment, they rented humble garage premises, staffed by just one technician and one courier boy besides themselves, they toiled long hours and handled all the work themselves, from registering a patient to conducting and generating the reports and carrying out promotional activities, all the while maintaining strict quality control.
Slowly but surely, through sheer dint of hard work and in single-minded pursuit of a dream, Lifeline has emerged as a NABL-accredited world-class state-of-art lab with the best equipment, prestigious affiliations, and a large team of doctors, technicians and support staff spread over 5000 ft. in the heart of south Delhi.
