Tech Mahindra Foundation (TMF), the CSR arm of leading technology company Tech Mahindra Limited, on Saturdat inaugurated its 50th SMART Centre – strategically planned at Khoda Village in Ghaziabad, one of the biggest urban slums of the area.
The Noida-Ghaziabad region has witnessed high level of infrastructural development, including residential and commercial real estate construction which has
attracted heavy inflow of migrant workers from across India.
The foundation has partnered with ANK, based and working in Delhi NCR and rural areas of Bihar in India, to provide such youth/workers real-estate skills training, particularly in the areas of electrical and civil, including practical know-how, construction, safety supervisory among others.
With its SMART (Skills for Market Training) programme, Tech Mahindra Foundation trains the underprivileged youth in numerous sectors by improving the candidate’s overall job readiness, including self-confidence, English communication skills among others and connects them to potential employers for placement.
Conceptualized one and half years back, the SMART programme has gained significant momentum in such a short span of time and today operates 50 SMART centres across the country training over 12000 students thus far.

This is doubly special for us as this is the first SMART-T centre, with a specially designed course to impart Technical skills to students.”
