Some of the players Unmukt Chand is a talented player but not able to convert starts into big one. In the West Indies A series apart from Yuvraj Singh who is making a comeback performed
well scoring 123, 40 and 61.
It shows that with form a cricketer can make a comeback in the team. Robin Uthappa who scored a century against the New Zealand A side but was not able to convert the small scores into century.
Yusuf Pathan a big hitter and given so many chances did well in the 1st ODI against the West Indies A but did not do well in the next 2 ODI.
In the Bowling department Vinay Kumar has done reasonable, Unadkat did also well, Nadeem is a good prospect.
I think they should be given chances so that they can show their talent and give the selectors a glimpse of these young talented players who are waiting to come back in the national team.
Chand who is yet to make a debut in any format in international cricket has to work on batting and should try to rotate the strike frequently.
As an Indian fan I would love to see Uthappa back in the T-20 squad against the Aussies, Yuvraj, Yusuf Pathan, Chand so that the pool becomes big as Team India has not entered into semi finals after the T-20 world cup win in 2007.
It was pleasing to see that the stadiums were full in the List A matches against the West Indies A but the performance of Yuvraj singh was treat to watch.
I think the best way forward is to make these young and talented players to play outside the country and play on more bouncy pitches so that they can know how to play good bowling. The bowlers will enjoy the conditions.
The ODI squad should include Yuvraj Singh because of the impact he has on the match and can change the state of match in few balls. I think apart from Vinay Kumar and Jayadev Unadkat nobody impressed me.
Now the next challenge for these players would be the challenger trophy to be played at the Indore stadium where Yusuf Pathan and Yuvraj Singh would be leading the teams.
